What is GATE exam? – The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science for admission into the Masters Program and Recruitment by some Public Sector Companies. GATE Examination is conducted jointly by the seven Indian Institutes of Technology at Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Chennai, Roorkee & Indian Institute of Science at Bengaluru on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.

List of institutes setting GATE paper
There is a committee which comprises of faculties from IIT’s and IISC which sets gate paper every year. The IIT or IISC responsible for that year GATE barely manages the overall process of question selection and conducting the exam .IISc Bangalore will set the GATE 2024 paper. GATE is a national level examination managed by the seven IITs and IISc on a rotational basis. So, according to the rotation, it is IISc Bangalore, which will conduct the GATE Exam.
